Michael Godfrey has taken on the role of Client Sales Manager at the Sunbury branch of Regents Estate Agents, part of the Badger Holdings Group.
Michael has been an estate agent for nearly ten years now and started his career with Halifax Gale & Power as an assistant manager in Lower Sunbury. He was promoted to branch manager after a year and stayed with the company for over two years.
Just over six years ago Michael joined Sunbury Townends after meeting the Sales Branch Director Chad Newbould when playing football for the same team. In 2008 Michael transferred to the Townends Weybridge office before moving to Englefield Green in 2009.
Michael enjoyed working at Englefield Green, 'because it is an affluent marketplace with a high volume of investors with the local university at Royal Holloway' he says, but he has always hoped to make the move back to the Sunbury region.
Michael lives in Walton with his girlfriend Katy and cat Willow and also owns a second property in Sunbury. In his spare time Michael enjoys playing football for a local team in Hampton. He also does a weekly internet radio show for a soul music station and DJs under the name of Mickey G.
On his move to Regents in Sunbury, Michael comments, "My mother used to live in Sunbury and I purchased my first home (a studio flat) in the Sunbury area back in the 80s so I know the area very well. It is an area I have wanted to work in for a while as I feel there is great potential here and I know the team is very motivated.
The Regents brand is strong and we are hoping to grow it further with the use of the new website and local newspaper advertisements. Brett Foulser at the branch has worked here for a number of years and attracts a lot of repeat business through personal recommendations. I am hoping that I can help to further enhance this reputation through gaining business with local contacts. We have high expectations for this year and I am pleased to be involved with this."
